Leads
In order to operate a successful internet based business, it would be a natural assumption to think of as a lead as a potential sale. You would also assume that the lead will be anxious to take a look at what you have to say simply because they have opted into your list of some sort. I contend that a lead is nothing more than just that.
Consider how many times you have filled in a contact form. Were you sincerely interested in buying something by filling in the form? Or, are were you simply viewing the presentation out of mild curiosity? It has been my professional experience that the follow up done with that lead is crucial and essential in possibly making a sale. I use two systems to follow up with. TrafficWave and Veremail.
With TrafficWave, you have the ability to create an unlimited number of autoresponders. The content is the crucial aspect of the letters. You may tend to just throw out advertising, but the most efficient way to create interest is to inform them through a well written series of messages. It has been said that people tend to have to view something seven times or more before they actually buy on Google. I guess that this is close to being right. I have had people that have filled out the forms and stayed with the autoresponders letters right up to the thirtieth letter with no real response. The whole point here is to give people information and allow them to make their own decision. I never sell anything. I only tell people of benefits and solutions. As a matter of fact, I go the opposite way of selling. I have what you could call a very non-concerned approach. This seems to work very well. I close many sales by simply telling people that the choice is theirs. Once you allow people to join your program, then you will probably have a satisfied customer.
Using Veremail is also an extremely effective lead management program. It is similar to TrafficWave and gives you the option to create unlimited autoresponder messages. So, we come down to the content once again. Does it seem to ring true on Google that content is king? I will be writing more presentations in this series in talking about leads, lead generation, lead management and the whole spectrum of building a viable and strong business on the internet.
