Webinar FAQ's

Webinar FAQ's

In learning all about web conferencing systems, we often miss one simple fact. Most people who are beginning to search for a web conferencing room may not know exactly what this process is all about. For those of us who have been with web conferencing by Vereconference, the process is almost second nature. In an effort to inform the public on Google about webinars, the following questions are the ones that first come to my mind.   You may have other questions concerning Vereconference.  We stand at the ready to inform you any way that you need about his great communication tool.

1. What is web conferencing?

Web conferencing is a term used to explain the voip system of communication. You simply login to a web conferencing room from a link provided and listen to the moderator (speaker) give a presentation right on your computer screen. We see web conferencing is a new way to communicate better with groups of people. These groups can be a small family gathering, or a large corporation. Any time that people need to share information with one another, and in a way that is much more flexible than using the telephone, web conferencing should be considered.

2. Do I have to speak at a webinar?

The process is totally up to the moderator. Many moderators will just hold a training class and want the people to simple listen to the presentation. You see, the moderator has full control of the web conferencing room. In this way, should there be a disruptive element in the training, the member can be ejected quickly and easily. Should the monitor allow you to talk, you can simply use an inexpensive headset with a microphone and click the microphone button to speak.

3. Is there a charge for attending a webinar?

This is totally up to the owner of the room at Vereconference. They have the capability to assign distinct passwords and could actually charge for the information they are providing. The flexibility of web conferencing from Vereconference is totally dependent upon the room owner.

4. How do I participate in a webinar?

You simply receive a link via email, click on the link, download a small piece of non-invasive software and log right into the room. Once in the room, you will see the other participants listed. In a Vereconference room, you will have the ability to record the presentation in an mp3 format for later listening. I use my web conferencing room like a recording studio. I often use podcasts for online promoting. I simple record my presentation, save it to a file and upload that recording to my server. I then have a link that I can send people to in order for them to listen to my podcasts.

5. What sort of equipment do I need to have in order to attend a webinar?

If you have a computer which can connect to the internet, speakers and a headset, you are all set to attend a webinar. This is the one area that is so appealing as anyone around the entire globe can login to a web conferencing room from Vereconference. Can anyone say global business here?

6. If I am not able to attend a session, can there be pre-recorded sessions I can listen to?

This is totally up to the moderator. If they wish, they can build a page designed especially for recording these presentations. Here are some of my recording trainings.

7. Do I have to travel to attend a webinar session?

This is the greatest part of webinar trainings. You simply login from your computer at your home or office and attend the trainings. There is no traffic to fight, no expensive forms of transportation to contend with and the sessions can be designed to fit any need at all. From small home businesses through large Fortune 500 Companies. Anyone can use a web conferencing room to their distinct advantage.
